Fat or Thin - it doesn’t matter

Fat or Thin - it doesn’t matter!

Looking at today’s wellness we find chronic diseases so prevalent and yet the majority of us haven’t fully understood the methodology behind the treatment.

If you have high triglycerides? Take fibrates - If your cholesterol is high (LDLs)? Use statins…

Unfortunately, that’s where it ends for most of us. And that’s because, we haven’t worked enough to educate ourselves on how this whole thing works. It’s much  more complex than that and moreover the lipid panel is ‘person-specific’ (more on that some day later).

Educating ourselves mean - we need to first debunk the basic precept on which the whole story (mythology) was built on, that is: “It’s all about calories and obesity.” That's not true because you could be grossly overweight but have a good  lipid profile (cholesterol, LDLs, HDLs, triglycerides, etc.) - all under control or, you could be thin having alarmingly high levels (lipid profile).

Meaning, the excess subcutaneous fat (in a fat person with good lipid profile) could be good as the fat is getting deposited in the right place for it to deliver energy vs the visceral fat (fatty liver included) in the thin person which is due to excess sugar in the person's diet.

It’s not about the fat you see but the fat you can’t see.  So folks, it’s not about the excess calories but more about the effect of excess sugar in the diet which makes the live fat and lowers its ability to change fat into something which canbe is easily disposable - leading to insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome.

Cut down sugar to increase longevity and this way you can avoid going to the dentist’s office as well.
