Man-made Testosterone - a double-edged sword!
When you see a dude with an exaggerated muscular physique, the kind that often results from misusing a controlled substance called man-made "anabolic steroid", it brings to mind the saying, “Great bodies are not born, they’re made.” But in this case, it’s more about massive muscles hiding a potential biological disaster.
Some (including women) turn to anabolic steroids to enhance performance and build muscle mass. While these substances were originally developed to treat medical conditions - such as delayed puberty, certain types of breast cancer, or muscle loss due to diseases - many individuals use them for purely aesthetic reasons - with doses that are 10 to 100 times higher than what is medically prescribed.
Psychologically, the impact can be just as damaging. Users often experience mood swings, irritability, roid rage - and even depression when they stop using the drug. The body’s natural hormone production can be thrown entirely off balance, making recovery a slow and difficult process.
Social media, unrealistic beauty standards, and the glorification of hyper-muscular physiques only add fuel to the fire.
It’s crucial to understand that there are no shortcuts when it comes to building a healthy, strong body. Natural training, proper nutrition, sufficient rest, and discipline remain the safest and most sustainable path - and remember, the pursuit of strength and looks should never come at the cost of your health.
