Stop Gloating about your past Accomplishments

Stop Gloating about your Fitness Accomplishments

Over the past six decades, numerous studies have shown that exercise is good for your heart. But here’s the catch: do you know that you are only as strong and fit as your last workout?

Many in the fitness industry who have long stopped their training - gloat about their past - the marathon they ran in 1966, and how they represented their state or country nationally and internationally in athletics.

Sadly, studies show when you compare the cardiovascular mortality rate of people who’d only recently started exercising with those who used to exercise regularly but stopped - you’d be surprised that current exercisers had a mortality rate 40% lower.

This shows that the benefits of exercise wear off quickly. Fortunately, the benefits of exercise show up quickly too.

So, if the only physical activity you ever do is curling your right arm towards your mouth, you’re not dead - yet.

You can still slide into the bracket of 40% lower mortality rate of individuals if you start being active (exercise).

Meaning, for the sedentary patients it’s never too late to start working out!

PS: Advice for the “once-fit” - stop living on past glories. Start and become the man you used to be!
