The Change That Comes
Over the last 100 years, the “desired” female body type has taken many forms in the West - from the “Curvy Gibson Girl” of the early 1900s - with her sculpted “S”-shaped figure, cinched waist, and rounded hips created by corsetry - to the slender “Flapper” of the post-World War I era. Every decade has celebrated a different silhouette.
In the last 65 years we have seen everything from a voluptuous Marilyn Monroe to waif like Kate Moss. But more recently, the idealised female physique has evolved into a tighter, more muscular and defined form built on movement and muscle.
As science continues to reveal the benefits of exercise, more women are embracing fitness as empowerment. They’re discovering that adding muscle adds more to life - and longevity - than any manicure or designer dress ever could.
When it comes to training with weights, however, most of them say: “I don’t want to get too big.“ Fat chance. The majority don’t have enough testosterone to grow huge naturally, and it takes great effort over an extended period.
What you gain is tone - the confident, sculpted look that only muscle creates. Each workout repairs years of neglect and replaces quick fixes with real and discernible change.
The magic lies within you - in your mind - heart and, yes, in your muscles!
