OZEM’ - is it the right PIC?
The weight-loss obsession, long embraced by the elite, has found a new fix in Ozempic (semaglutide) - the “Miracle Drug” of the 21st century.
There’s no denying that semaglutide has revolutionized weight loss for people with chronic obesity and related conditions. But when used as a quick-fix for general slimming, it spells trouble.
So one must ask - is Ozempic (GLP-1) truly a miracle drug, or just “too good to be true,” given the $2-billion lawsuits against its maker, Novo Nordisk, for failing to warn users of severe side effects such as gastroparesis, bowel obstruction, vision loss, and gallbladder issues, and more?
Serena Williams calls it “safe and effective” as a spokesperson for the telehealth firm RO - a company in which her husband is an investor-director. Profits over patients? That seems the real story.
Originally developed for type-2 diabetes, Ozempic soon became a blockbuster for weight loss - lowering blood sugar, slowing digestion, and inducing a sense of fullness.
Novo Nordisk knew of side effects during trials but downplayed their significance. The FDA approved the drug in 2017; complaints followed soon after. In 2022 came warnings about gallbladder disease, in 2023 about intestinal blockage, in 2024 about pulmonary aspiration, and by 2025, pancreatitis was added to the list.
Users also report “Ozempic face” - hollow cheeks, sagging skin, muscle, and bone loss - consequences of rapid, unnatural weight loss.
So why trust a company facing lawsuits and leaning on celebrity marketing - when natural, lasting alternatives exist? Balanced nutrition, strength training, and clinically validated, pharmaceutical-grade supplements can support both weight and blood-sugar control - without turning you into a lab experiment.
